He managed a sheep ranch, engaged in real estate and recreational services businesses, and aided Nigeria in creating a waste recycling program.
Terry co-founded and directed environmental organizations like Santa Monica BayKeeper and co-authored influential sustainability policies while serving in the California government. In 2007, he founded Seventh Generation Advisors to promote clean energy policies across states and nations.
