Diego Saez Gil is a tech entrepreneur and environmentalist who founded Pachama, an AI- and satellite-driven platform that has secured over $90 million from investors like Breakthrough Energy and Amazon to verify and fund conservation and restoration of millions of hectares of forests worldwide. Before Pachama, he co-founded Bluesmart (pioneering smart luggage) and WeHostels (mobile travel booking), both of which were acquired, and he studied at Stanford GSB, LaSalle Barcelona, Universidad Nacional de Tucumán, and Escuela Técnica Concepción.

Raised in the Andes foothills of Argentina with indigenous and European roots, he has worked across Europe, the USA, and Asia, survived losing his home to California wildfires in 2020, and now dedicates his life to scaling nature-based climate solutions for future generations.
