Biography:
Esteban Gast is an award-winning Colombian-American comedian and writer whose “irreverent but aspirational” humor (Variety) springs from a diverse background as a teacher, author, eco-community president, and startup COO. Recognized as a Grist50 Fixer in 2023 and Anthem Award winner in 2024, he was also named one of the top 100 Latinos taking action on climate change. As comedian-in-residence at Generation180, he co-created the Climate Comedy Cohort and Climate Cultura, hosted the Spotify podcast Identity at Play and webseries for SoulPancake and Hyundai, starred in VICELAND’s Jungletown, co-wrote the upcoming film Thena (2025), and penned the book and lyrics for the musical Teacher of the Year. His work appears in The Guardian, Grist, Remezcla, The Hollywood Reporter, ABC News, and NPR’s Science Friday.
