Matthew is a documentary filmmaker, podcast producer and co-founder of the Wild Lens Collective. He served as a co-director of the feature length film “Sea of Shadows”, which won the audience award at Sundance 2019. He also produced and directed the award-winning short films “Souls of the Vermilion Sea”, “Bluebird Man”, and “Scavenger Hunt”. He is the producer of the radio documentary and podcast series “Common Land”, which explores the creation stories behind protected areas, and is a contributing producer to “Earth to Humans”, a bi-weekly interview series about our human relationship with planet Earth.
Matthew is also a founding board member of the Birds of Prey NCA Partnership, a non-profit “friends” group associated with the Morley Nelson Snake River Birds of Prey National Conservation Area. In this capacity, Matthew produces the “Dedication Point” podcast, an interview series focused on issues relevant to this particular National Conservation Area, and also assists with communications and PR for the organization.
