Peter Waggonner is an MBA Candidate at the Yale School of Management with special interest in the insurability and financeability of communities. As Senior Policy Advisor for Greater New Orleans, Inc., Southeast Louisiana’s regional economic development organization, Peter’s portfolio encompasses infrastructure, insurance, and the environment at local, state, and federal levels. He oversees the Coalition for Sustainable Flood Insurance (CSFI), a group of over 800 contacts activated around the reform and reauthorization of the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP).

He has previously directed constituent services for a New Orleans City Council district, clerked for the country’s largest metropolitan planning organization in Los Angeles, and coordinated special projects for a business improvement district in Pasadena, CA. He is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania.
