Shelley Luce is an environmental leader and nonprofit executive with more than 15 years of experience advancing conservation, environmental justice, and community resilience initiatives throughout Los Angeles and beyond. Most recently, she served as President of Heal the Bay, where she helped strengthen programs and partnerships focused on protecting California’s coastal and water resources.
Known for her collaborative and visionary leadership style, Shelley has built and expanded impactful environmental programs while fostering partnerships across communities, government agencies, and nonprofit organizations. Her work emphasizes equitable solutions, accountability, and long-term sustainability, with a particular focus on elevating Indigenous voices and communities of color in environmental decision-making.
Shelley holds a Doctorate in Environmental Science and Engineering from UCLA and a Bachelor of Science in Biology from McGill University. She remains committed to advancing innovative, measurable strategies that create healthier ecosystems and stronger, more resilient communities.
