Christopher Berry

Biography:

Christopher Berry is the Executive Director of the Nonhuman Rights Project, where he leads efforts to secure legal rights for animals through litigation, legislation, public education, and advocacy. He oversees the organization’s strategic initiatives aimed at advancing legal recognition and protections for nonhuman animals.

Prior to joining the Nonhuman Rights Project, Christopher managed litigation at the Animal Legal Defense Fund, focusing on the private enforcement of animal protection laws and related legal issues, including standing, justiciability, and civil procedure. He earned his J.D. from the University of Michigan School of Law and holds a B.S. in Political Science from the University of South Dakota.
