Neysa Frechette is a restoration ecologist and conservation professional dedicated to protecting wildlife and restoring sensitive ecosystems throughout California. Raised in the San Fernando Valley, she earned a Bachelor of Science in Wildlife, Fish, and Conservation Biology from the University of California, Davis, where she developed a passion for birds, wetlands, and habitat restoration.

Neysa began her career with Friends of Ballona Wetlands, spending nine years leading restoration and wildlife conservation efforts in one of Southern California’s most important coastal ecosystems. During that time, she earned a Master of Natural Resources degree from Oregon State University, focusing her research on the impacts of maintenance activities on nesting wetland birds in the Ballona Freshwater Wetlands System. She also managed the Tree Swallow Nest Box and Banding Program in partnership with Loyola Marymount University and founded the El Segundo Blue Butterfly Coalition to support the recovery of the endangered species.

As Senior Restoration Ecologist at Tidal Influence, Neysa applies her expertise in ecological restoration, research, project management, and collaboration to protect endangered species and enhance habitat resilience, with a special focus on urban ecosystems.
